(Tulsa, Okla.) new wave/indie
Sometimes the most incredible things spring from unglamorous beginnings. Tulsa modern retro-rock quartet RadioRadio had its start in a nondescript parking lot in east Tulsa, where for a year and a half, vocalist Greg Hosterman and bassist Paul Cristiano would meet over their lunch hour and hammer out songs that would eventually become part of the band's debut CD, Watch 'Em All Come Runnin'. The recently released follow-up, Alarm 1, Alarm 2, fulfills the band's mission-of having real moxie to be what no ProTools system or media-savvy management or hyper-networked MySpace page can substitute for: greatness in content, style and attitude. Like the Elvis Costello song from which its name is taken, RadioRadio is about embracing independence and free will...all in a manner you can dance to. http://www.myspace.com/radioradioband
