The unrefined, yet brutally honest and unashamed midwestern mentality is evident in Earl's music, which is a powerful brew of southern rock, garage twang and country. This blend earned the band many accolades, as they played shows throughout the nation's midsection, from Chicago to Dallas and anywhere in between. In 2002, Earl released Used, a twelve-song assault of Midwestern roots-rock that received airplay on over one hundred CMJ reporting radio stations across the country. In addition to Used, the band's songs are featured on numerous compilation albums, including KPNT's Pointessential Volume 7 and Cincinnati's Mid-Point Music Festival 2003 CD. Unfortunately, all the attention, critical acclaim, touring demands led to burnout, causing Earl to disband in 2005. After playing a few successful reunion shows, the band decided to give their music another try. "It's about the hours on stage with my best friends and putting out great material, and a greater show."
