 Drawn to the music of Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Sam choose the guitar as his vehicle of expression. .A guitar performance major in college, Sam was exposed to jazz, classical and contemporary styles as well as an "informal" education from new influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Amos Lee, Anthony Hamilton, John Mayer, U2, Marc Broussard, Albert King and Buddy Guy. Throughout college Sam became seasoned as a for-hire guitarist gaining experience in gospel, country, rock and blues. He also formed his first creative effort, the St.Louis based Sam Gregg Affair. The Affair showcased a true flavor of roots music and pop while displaying Sam's songwriting ability. Now Sam Gregg, calling Atlanta home, shows an appreciation for true musical community and love for his craft. Starting fresh as a solo artist, and with greater attention to songwriting, Sam is ready to share his personal experiences through songs about life.
