Kate Linné is an artist who has never been afraid to stand on both sides of the fence. Her debut EP walks the line between guitar-heavy pop and piano-driven blues, colored with an aggressive indie-rock tinge that integrates the record into a fresh and infectious whole. The lyrics are insightful and literary, yet she maintains an accessible honesty that is universally appealing. Her addictive hooks and gutsy vocal delivery shine on fast-paced numbers. Her ballads are pensive and sincere, with a soulful vocal style that subtly echos one of her favorite artists, Fiona Apple. Kate is currently putting the majority of her efforts into rehearsal with her band, and is readying herself to launch onto the regional live music scene. With an untiring work ethic and a sound all her own, she is rapidly becoming an artist that makes people stand up and take notice.
