St. Louis | pop/singer-songwriter
Drew Mantia is a St. Louis-based soul rock guitarist/singer/songwriter. In 2006 he began to develop a soulful and funky take on rock and pop which soon became the key to his signature sound. Drew's first efforts in the recording studio, although incomplete, set him off for a great start. In November 2006 he recorded songs like the fan-favorite "Drama (Bring it Down)." The unique flavor of his music attracted attention which resulted in a record deal with St. Louis based label 12 Bar Records. Mantia made his first appearance in April 2007 with his friends/bandmates Ryan Marquez, Dave Shanle, and Kevin Neyer at Webster University's Battle of the Bands, claiming victory. After this great success, Drew Mantia and his band made their first full-length showing at the St. Louis Central West End's annual Art Fair and Taste Festival. Since their official emergence in June, the group has already been booked at some of St. Louis' most popular indie music clubs, such as Cicero's and The Stratford Inn. Drew is currently in the studio producing his full-length 12 Bar Records' debut, Save Yourself, expected to arrive early 2008.
