Otter Petter is the five-piece rock outfit you'd hate to take off. Formed in Chicago in 2005, Otter Petter's members create their own unique sound by blending the sugary pop confections of artists like Matthew Sweet with the more obtuse constructions of indie-rock bands like Death Cab for Cutie. Otter Petter emerged on the Chicago music scene at the end of 2005 with their self-titled, five-song EP. In 2007, the band played many shows throughout the Midwest and East Coast, pausing occasionally to work on some new recordings. The first full-length CD from Otter Petter, Fireflies and Lamp Lights, was released this past January featuring 12 new original songs.
